Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have been very private about their relationship. In fact, Hollywood fans were surprised upon learning that the two had a secret wedding back in 2014.

And now, the "Gossip Girl" star and the "The O.C." actor has dropped a bomb once again, proving that as invasive as a showbiz career can be, it is indeed possible to keep things hush hush - at least for some time.

According to TMZ, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody had their first baby in August 4, as stated in a copy of the baby's birth certificate that they were able to acquire.

"The girl's name is Arlo Day and she was born just after midnight at a hospital located about 30 miles away from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the usual celebrity hospital of choice," TMZ reported.

If Arlo Day was born in Aug. 4, then Adam Brody was already a dad during a Reddit AMA last month, during which the actor dished out on the dynamics of his relationship with Leighton Meester.

"I do some stuff but she definitely does the heavy lifting [figuratively]. Literally, I do the heavy lifting," Brody said, as quoted by Us Weekly.

Does this mean that Leighton Meester wears the pants in her and Adam Brody's marriage?

Fans and the media could only speculate, but whatever the dynamics of their relationship is, it seems to be working.

In a previous interview, the former "Gossip Girl" star admitted that a lot has changed in her since she said "I do" to her husband.

"My values have shifted greatly in terms of what I find important," the Blair Waldorf actress told InStyle UK, as quoted by Hollywood Life. "It's my family, my friends and having a personal life. Those are the things that need nurturing."
