'Yong Pal' Happily Concludes With Ratings Of 20.4 Percent

"Yong Pal" concluded on a positive note, with Joo Won and Kim Tae Hee reuniting as a couple. In addition to the a happy ending, the rating juggernaut continued its reign over its time slot and primetime programming.

According to the October 2 report issued by Nielsen Korea, "Yong Pal" recorded 20.4 percent in nationwide viewership with its finale. This reflected an increase of 2.0 percent from the previous episode.

The medical drama concluded with Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) serving as a doctor to the poor.

"Yong Pal" ventured into the realm of extreme melodrama or a genre known as makjang, through its incorporation of a relentless revenge plot.

Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) retreated into her palatial home, after discovering that she was ill. However, her liver cancer was due to natural causes, bu prolonged exposure to poisoning.

Tae Hyun rescued Yeo Jin, but she was diagnosed with stage-three cancer and was clinging to life.

Cynthia (Stephanie Lee) saved the day when she returned with her own Yong Pal, a rogue physician who was willing to work under any circumstances. Through the aid of the Johns Hopkins surgeon, Tae Hyun was able to save Yeo Jin.

"She Was Pretty" continued its double-digit ratings. The MBC romantic comedy recorded 10.2 in nationwide viewership.

The episode opened with Kim Hye Jin saving Ji Sung Joon (Park Seo Joon), who was in the throws of a panic attack.

Sung Joon continued to experience the nagging feeling that something was off with, Min Ha Ri (Koh Joon Hee), the woman he believed to be Hye Jin.

Ha Ri to continue her romantic pursuit of Sung Joon, even though Hye Jin would be hurt by her deception. However, Sung Joon could learn the truth about the identity of Hye Jin, after spending time alone with her on a retreat.

The KBS2 period series, "The Merchant: Gaekju 2015" recorded 6.7 percent.
