The NBA rumors surrounding a potential trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings have emerged once again, with Julius Randle being dragged into the deal involving firebrand center DeMarcus Cousins.
The news was reported back in June as the Sacramento Kings management reportedly had enough of DeMarcus Cousins' diva attitude and childish antics. But front office rep. Vlade Divac shot down the rumors by saying that they would ride the walking double-double on to the next season.
But the NBA trade rumors involving the two teams will remain rumors for now as the Los Angeles Lakers seemed determined to see what they got for their seventh pick in the 2014 draft.
Julius Randle for his part appears to have the right attitude going into the 2015-2016 season after playing all but 14 minutes last season due to injury.
"I'm just going to do what's best for the team and whatever I can do to help the team win," he told Mark Medina of the LA Daily News.
The 6-9 forward also thinks that the injury will help him in the long run.
"It made me the person I am today," he added. "It gave me perspective on patience and the process in general. I got knocked down and was expecting big things out of myself throughout that season. It didn't happen that way. So where I do go from here? Where do I prepare myself where I was better before?"
"It made me who I am. It made me appreciate and love the game even more," Julius Randle said of his injury.
Watch out for more NBA trade rumors involving the Los Angeles Lakers, which will attempt to get back to respectability after an atrocious 2014-2015 season. Aside from a fully healthy Julius Randle, the squad will also have no. 2 draft pick D'Angelo Russell and Kobe Bryant.
