Kendra Wilkinson wanted to shield their son Hank IV from marital problems she and her husband Hank Baskett are experiencing after the alleged scandal with a transgender. According to E! News, the "Girl Next Door" star really didn't want their 4-year-old son to see they were having major snag.

"My son is definitely not old enough for any of this or any detail or any explanation," Kendra told E! News. "But he did witness the initial fight. It's funny because he's never ever witnessed a fight between Hank and me."

"Little Hank is too young to understand all this," Kendra said. "He was old enough to understand that mama and papa did have a big blowout fight and I had to explain what that meant. I didn't explain what it was about, but I explained that papa had to go on grown-up time-out and it was really sad."

"He's extremely smart," she continued. "He still thinks about that day sometimes and he'll bring it up and I make sure that I comfort him and tell him that we're all not perfect and we all get in fights."

Kendra and Hank's five-year marriage became a bit shaky since the reported cheating scandal four months ago. Reportedly, the former NFL pro denied the allegations.

Meanwhile, according to E! Kendra's prioritizing her health by doing the Atkins diet.

"Out of all this craziness, focusing on my health is probably the No. 1 priority right now because my two kids need me," she said. "I can't be slow and I can't feel like I'm dragging. I have to focus on my health and on what makes me happy and get my mind focused on something."

Reportedly, the reality star appreciated the timing of this blow in her marriage came later and not early on.

"I'm about to turn 30 this year," she said. "I feel like I'm at a place in my life where I'm mature enough to handle what is happening to me in my life. Five years ago, I would have never ever been able to handle it. I would've made the wrong decisions and made very quick, rash decisions without thinking about them. Right now, I'm more mature and I'm spiritual and I can slow my mind down and really think logically."
