Justin Bieber still remembers fondly her relationship with Selena Gomez, so much so that he equates it with the happy memories of his teenage years.
During an interview with a New Zealand radio, the "Baby" singer was asked about his fondest memories of his teenage years.
He replied, "Probably my relationship with my ex-girlfriend. I'm not gonna talk about it, but I'm just gonna say that and we'll leave it there."
Although, he didn't name who the girl was, it was clear that he was referring to Selena Gomez whom he dated when the pop star was just a pup. Their relationship was dubbed by the media then as "Jelena."
They started dating back in 2010, but only went public with their relationship in February 2011 when they attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party together.
In an interview with Complex magazine, Justin Bieber also weighed in on the relationship with former girlfriend Selena Gomez and how it impacted his dating life.
"You get scarred from certain things. Even like - I'm kind of seeing this girl, right? I'm shy about doing or saying certain things, and then I say it and it's not even a problem," he said.
"And I'll remember when I couldn't.... You're just scarred and you don't do something because in your last relationship they'd freak out, but [the new person is] just like, 'What are you talking about?"' he added.
Just a few months back, it was reported that Justin Bieber is trying to spark a romance with on-and-off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
In August this year, Selena Gomez also opened up on her relationship with Justin Bieber.
"It's difficult for people to separate us. The internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it," she said.
The "Kill Em with Kindness" singer added, "I didn't think I was doing anything bad by falling in love," Selena added. "There's such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it's good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager - it makes it more difficult."
