The tech giant launched Microsoft Surface Pro 4 on October 06. It was amongst the slew of Windows 10 devices launched on that date including mobile phones and a surprising new laptop Microsoft Surface Book, said Tech Radar.
Screen Size and Resolution
Microsoft and Apple both now proudly boast of large display tablets aiming for both home and office. The new Microsoft pro has a slightly smaller screen size of 12.3 inches as compared to 12.9 inches of iPad Pro. However, it has higher resolution as compared to its Apple competitor. The Surface Pro 4 pushes out a 2,736 x 1,824 res display for 267ppi. On the contrary, Apple has a higher 2,732 x 2,048 resolution but on a larger screen size it comes in at a lower 264ppi, said Pocket-Lint.com
Camera and Storage
The Microsoft Surface Pro comes with 5MP front camera and 8MP rear camera where as iPAd Pro has 1.2MP front face time camera and 8MP iSight Camera, stated Techtimes.com.
iPad Pro comes with only 32GB or 128GB storage with no provision for extra storage space like micro-SD card. The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with internal storage of 128GB and is also available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage version. It also has extra microSD card provision for increasing further storage capacity, said TechTimes.com.
Stylus
Apple stylus has an Apple Pencil but does not give an option for erasing and needs to be purchased separately. On the other hand, Micrsoft has launched stylus 'Pen' with an eraser and comes free with tablet purchase.
Power Play
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is backed by a powerful RAM and a latest Intel processor packing more power punch per pound. Its Intel Core i5 or i7 Processor with 16GB RAM makes its more powerful than MacBook Air. On the other hand the A9X chip loses the battle one sided even though it is faster than iPAd Air 2, said Pocket-Lint.com
Both tablets offer latest Windows 10 or iOS software which is solely user preference to opt for. However, iPad Pro is cheaper starting at $799 where as its Microsoft competitor starts at $899. It needs to be noted that the iPad Pro stylus comes at extra $99 justifying the price for both models to be competitive.
