Bon Jovi will release his new album this 2016 and with the title "Burning Bridges," some fans couldn't help but think that it's a diss towards retired member Richie Samboa.
Meanwhile, Matt O'Ree was named the new guitarist to the band's upcoming Asian tour, replacing Bobby Bandiera.
Billboard has reported that the new album this 2016 will be Bon Jovi's tribute to fans and the release date would be announced prior to the group's tour.
"Burning Bridges, which will be released August 21st, is an album for fans and will accompany an upcoming international tour," the spokesperson said. "The band is hard at work on their next album, which will see a full-scale release in 2016."
Matt O'Ree has a lot of credentials having formed his own band. His background is predominantly blues, and while that may be strange, fans should remember that retired member Richie Samboa was also a blues guitarist.
"On June 8, 2006, Matt became the Winner of Guitarmageddon "King of the Blues" guitar contest hosted by BB King and John Mayer through Guitar Center and Guitar World Magazine," Noise 11 said.
"Matt beat out over 4000 guitar players in that competition to win him the grand prize, multiple guitars and an endorsement from Gibson guitars, shopping sprees with Guitar Center and a car from Scion," it added.
Bon Jovi's new album this 2016 already has two new tracks, the "Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning" and "We Don't Run."
But Ultimate Classic Rock said that retired member Richie Samboa had a special mention in "Burning Bridges."
The article said, "The chorus, which includes the line that gives the album its title, could be taken as a thinly veiled kiss-off to Bon Jovi's former partner, 'Not afraid of burning bridges/ 'Cause I know they're gonna light my way/ Like a phoenix from the ashes/ Welcome to the future, it's a new day.'"
