Following the grand success of the "Harry Potter" eight film series, a prequel to the movies named "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is being filmed in Liverpool this October. It's scheduled to be released worldwide on November 18, 2016.

The film is an adaptation of J.K. Rowling's novel, which is allegedly placed 70 years before "Harry Potter's" times. The script of the film is written by J.K. Rowling herself and is directed by none other than veteran David Yates.

Actor Eddie Redmayne, who recently won the Oscar for the movie, "The Theory of Everything," will be seen starring in the "Harry Potter" prequel. Actors including Samantha Morton, Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Jenn Murray, and young newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove will be seen in the movie alongside 530 cast and crew members.

"It's a complete privilege for me," said Eddie about the "Harry Potter" prequel according to Entertainment Weekly. He also added that "I love J.K. Rowling. I love the Harry Potter films [and] books so for me this is just the most wondrous gift really."

The plot of the film is appropriately briefed in the title "Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them." In the "Harry Potter" prequel, Eddie plays the character Newt Scamander, a specialist in magical animals. He also articulates the beasts he comes across in the legendary Hogwarts School textbook.

Warner Bros. reportedly started shooting for the film on August 17 at Leavesden studios, Hertfordshire with Liverpool as the only non-studio location in the movie.

According to BBC, producer of the "Harry Potter" series, film-maker, David Heyman says the city "works perfectly for our film."

"My mother is from Liverpool and, as a child we would often visit family there," he added. The film will use the city centre buildings to reproduce the New York City of 1920s. Assistant Mayor Wendy Simon said the city was "one of many locations the production team were looking at."
