"Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams has donated $10,000 to the foundation set up by her cancer-stricken schoolmate.

The 18-year-old English actress won the money during the Absolute Radio's 'Who's calling Christian?' segment for the best phone call, besting other contestants Sir Bruce Forsyth, Jim Carter and Sharon Osbourne, said Daily Mirror.

She then announced that she will give the money to Wilberry Wonder Pony foundation, which was established by 17-year-old Hannah Francis, a schoolmate of Maisie Williams at the Norton Hill,

"It is a heart breaking story but Hannah is doing really well," the "Game of Thrones" star said.

In a blog post, Hannah said that only 1 in 30 people in the UK get osteosarcoma, and usually on their arms and legs.

"It's very unusual to have it in your pelvis," she wrote. "I had another MRI two weeks after the first to see how much it had grown and it had increased in size quite shockingly so it was determined as an aggressive cancer."

Hannah Francis is the kind of story that the "Game of Thrones" star gravitate towards.

In an interview with Radio Times, per Mashable, Maisie Williams said that she can relate to strong women such as Arya Stark on the HBO hit series, and a young Viking in "Doctor Who."

"They're real women, and not just an idea of how a woman is or an accessory," she said. "I didn't realize when I was younger that women were written so badly, but going further into this career I realized there are a lot of really bad characters I realized there are a lot of really bad characters, that it's not common to come across females who aren't just 'the girlfriend.'"

"You can't pick and choose everything, but I hope to never have to play a character that is only there to benefit a male lead I hope to never have to play a character that is only there to benefit a male lead," Maisie Williams added.
