Taylor Swift has been long reported to be dissing her ex-boyfriends through her songs, but the "Bad Blood" singer insisted that there's no, well, bad blood there.
Indeed, Calvin Harris' girlfriend is proudest of the fact that she never revealed the names of her ex-boyfriends who might be the inspiration of her songs.
In an interview with GQ magazine, per Daily Mail, she said, "You're in a[n] interview, and the writer says, 'who is that song about? That sounds like a really intense moment from your life.'"
"And you sit there, and you know you're on good terms with your ex-boyfriend, and you don't want him - or his family - to think you're firing shots at him," she added. "So you say, 'That was about losing a friend.' And that's basically all you say."
Taylor Swift went on to add, "I've never named names, so I feel like I still have a sense of power over what people say - even if that isn't true, and even if I don't have any power over what people say about me."
"The fact that I've never confirmed who those songs are about makes me feel like there is still one card I'm holding," Calvin Harris' girlfriend added.
Billboard ran an article about Taylor Swift's songs and the boyfriends that might have inspired them.
Among her boyfriends were Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, Eddie Redmayne, Joe Jonas and John Mayer.
In an interview with NPR, Calvin Harris' girlfriend said that she wrote all songs on her records.
"I like to write about love and love lost because I feel like there are so many different subcategories of emotions that you can possibly delve into," she said. "I've never missed two people the same way - it's always different for me. I've never fallen in love with someone and had the same exact kind of feeling come over me."
