Fans who showed up to see Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin at a recent fan event in Busan were disappointed when the event was cancelled.
So many fans showed up for the fan meeting sponsored by OB beer brand Cass that it was difficult to provide adequate security.
The popular young actors both apologized to their disappointed fans. Lee Jong Suk posted a picture of them and a message on his me2today page.
"It's cancelled," wrote Lee Jong Suk. "Everyone must have waited a long time so we're sorry that we had to leave without seeing you. I hope you understand that our leaving was for safety reasons. As soon as I can I will come back holding hands with Woo Bin. Still it was good that I was able to see Woo Bin for the first time in a long time. Should we form a group?"
In a video clip of their apology, Lee Jong Suk hugged Kim Woo Bin, making fun of the friends' much-touted bromance.
Kim Woo Bin also left a message on his me2today.
"We're very sorry to the fans that waited so long," said Kim Woo Bin. "It's a shame that this happened when Lee Jong Suk and I were so excited to meet you guys. We return to Seoul with heavy hearts. Let's definitely meet next time. I'm very sorry and I love you."
The actors became famous for their onscreen bromance in the KBS drama "School 2013." The drama included a kiss scene between the two actors and Lee Jong Suk joked that they were going for the "Best Couple" award.
The two actors met when they were models and were friends before they appeared in "School 2013." Since the show ended, the friends have modeled together in a fashion shoot and a Cass beer commercial.
Kim Woo Bin says that he thinks of Lee Jong Suk as an older brother.
"When I first started modeling, Lee Jong Suk was already working in the field. I had to bow to him because he was more experienced than I was and I was really polite to him," said Kim Woo Bin.
Lee Jong Suk recently finished filming the popular drama "I Hear Your Voice" and is already working on a film, "No Breathing" with Seo In Guk. The film is about competitive swimmers and the two actors are already in training.
Kim Woo Bin will play Sung Hoon in the film "Friend 2" and he is cast in the upcoming drama "The Heirs" with Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye. Last year he appeared in "To The Beautiful You" and "Gentleman's Dignity."
