The penultimate episode may have hinted at a rocky conclusion, but the finale of "Twenty Again" was punctuated by romantic scenes involving Lee Sang Yoon and Choi Ji Woo.

The finale of "Twenty Again" opens with Ha No Ra (Choi Ji Woo) cheerfully enjoying her lunch, while sitting outside. She is happily working at the spicy rice cake shop while mastering the secret recipe her grandmother perfected.

She is saddened by the mention of Cha Hyun Seok (Lee Sang Yoon) but continues to follow his career, through newspaper articles. While she was responsible for halting their budding romance, she is dismayed when Hyun Seok ignores her, after a chance encounter at a bookstore.

The possibility of a relationship seems farfetched until they have another seemingly spontaneous run-in, on the anniversary of her grandmother's death.

Hyun Seok offers to give No Ra a ride to her burial location. While she is visiting her hometown, No Ra reflects on the time capsule and seeks it out. She is stunned to learn that Hyun Seok had previously unearthed the capsules, read her message to him, and drew strength from it, even though it appeared as though she was lost to him.

No Ra is moved to the point of tears. She finally confesses that she likes and misses Hyun Seok, who initially appears to ignore her before capitulating. After 20 years, they finally embrace and exchange a kiss.

While that is the most romantic scene of the finale, No Ra and Hyun Seok share other special moments.

No Ra shyly attends his play and recognizes herself in the heroine. She is touched when Hyeon Seok acknowledges her as his girlfriend, in front of a bevy of reporters.

"Twenty Again" concludes with No Ra reflecting on the positive and negative memories she experienced at Woocheon University. After longingly staring at other happy couples, she finally shares a picnic date with her lover, Hyun Seok.
