"Twenty Again" recorded its highest ratings with its romantic finale. On October 17, the tvN series concluded its 16-episode run with a denouement that touched the hearts of viewers who were waiting with bated breath to see the sparks fly between Choi Ji Woo and Lee Sang Yoon.

According to Nielsen Korea, the finale episode of "Twenty Again" reached 7.23 percent of cable subscribers. This was a 0.17 percent increase from its previous rating high of 7.06 percent.

While the penultimate episode was centered on the finalization of divorce and attempts by Ha No Ra (Choi Ji Woo), to gain independence, the finale focused on her desire to reconnect with Cha Hyun Seok (Lee Sang Yoon).

Screenwriter So Hyun Kyun was adamant in the way in which she deliberately withheld public displays of affection involving No Ra and Hyun Seok until No Ra's ex-husband Kim Woo Chul (Choi Won Young), was completely out of the picture. This is contradictory to series like "My Love, Eun Dong" and "I Have a Lover," which have experienced backlash from viewers who accused the programs of committing adultery.

While Woo Chul was an adulterer, he was reunited with his former lover, Kim Yi Jin (Park Hyo Joo) in a scene that was more tender than heavy handed.

The only couple that did not necessarily receive a happy ending was Kim Min Soo (Kim Min Jae) and Oh Hye Mi (A Pink's Son Na Eun). However, their relationship reflected the fragility of young love, as well as, the desire for college co-eds to achieve independence from their parents and past patterns of behavior.

"Twenty Again" ended on a positive note. The series will be followed by the latest installment in the popular "Reply" franchise, "Reply 1988."
