Jessa and Jill Duggar's new reality show "Counting On" started on an explosive note as the two tackled the sex molestation scandal involving brother, Josh Duggar.
The teaser for the "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff was published on ET Online and it shows the two siblings discussing the challenges faced by the family in the past few months.
"The whole world was shocked," Jessa Duggar says. "You have to wonder, 'How did this happen?'"
But she says there's a lot to be optimistic about.
"Definitely with all the difficulties that my family has walked through, there's still a lot of exciting milestones ahead," she shares. "Ben [Seewald] and I are very excited to welcome our first little one into the world very soon."
Jilly Duggar, meanwhile, breaks down while recounting the criticisms that hit the family in light of the Josh Duggar sex molestation scandal.
"You're angry and hurt and all those emotions all mixed together," she says. "I cry a lot of tears, I still do. I know I'm hurting."
"Counting On" stars Jessa and Jill Dugar were among those reportedly victimized by Josh Duggar in sex molestation scandal.
The "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff wasn't the first venue where the sisters addressed the controversy.
In the TLC documentary "Breaking the Silence," Jill Duggar said, "It's amazing to understand that there are so many people that deal with this exact same thing in their own families. So just being educated is very good."
She continued that the Josh Duggar sex molestation scandal taught her "things I can do to be more aware, things I can do to set up boundaries and safeguards for my child and children, hopefully, in the future."
For her part, Jessa Duggar commented, "I feel like this should be a discussion people are having, even regularly. I think that it shouldn't be a taboo subject, that we should be bringing awareness to child sexual abuse and talking about this."
Jill and Jessa Duggar's "Counting On" will premiere on TLC in December.
