"She Was Pretty" continues to attract new audiences, with the series swiftly approaching 20 percent in viewership. According to statistics released by Nielsen Korea on October 22, "She Was Pretty" recorded 17.3 percent, an increase of 0.6 from the ratings reported for its ninth episode.
Episode 10 explored the growing attraction between Ji Sung Joon (Park Seo Joon) and Kim Hye Jin (Hwang Jung Eum). Hye Jin is alarmed when she realizes that Sung Joon, who suffers from panic attacks during rain storms due to childhood trauma, frantically drove through torrential downpours when he believed that she was involved in an automobile accident.
In his attempt to rush to the accident site, Sung Joon skipped out of a date with his girlfriend, Min Ha Ri (Go Joon Hee), a woman he believed to be Hye Jin, his neighborhood crush.
Kim Shin Hyuk (Super Junior's Choi Siwon) demonstrated his loyalty and devotion to Hye Jin, as he also attempted to race to her side but was thwarted when he lost control of his motorcycle.
While the bulk of the series has focused on the comedic exploits of its main characters, "She Was Pretty" took on a somber tone, as Hye Jin realized that Ha Ri continued to deceive Sung Joon. Shin Hyuk intervened, imploring Ha Ri to reveal herself to Sung Joon, but her hesitation was unnecessary.
The episode concluded with Sung Joon addressing Ha Ri by her name, as opposed to continuing the farce that she was Hye Jin.
"The Merchant Gaekju 2015" continues to deliver strong ratings, with the series taking a slight dip with 9.9 percent.
Meanwhile, SBS' "The Village: Achiara's Secret" recorded 5.1 percent in nationwide viewership.
