The Leonardo DiCaprio movie "The Revenant" was not easy to film, the actor revealed. He had to put uo with extreme conditions during filming.
When "The Revenant" trailer was released couple of weeks back, it was rumored that filming the movie was "nothing but a living hell of a shoot." Rumors also surfaced that many of the crew members left the film location due to the cold weather that prevailed in the Canadian wilderness, reported KDrama Stars.
The crew had to face at least a part of the ordeal because of the cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki insisted.on using natural light for filming and the director Alejandro González Iñárritu's efforts to minkmize the use of extensive CGI. Meanwhile the actor himself opened up recently about the difficulties he faced during the shoot.

"I can name 30 or 40 sequences that were some of the most difficult things I've ever had to do," the actor told Yahoo Movies. "Whether it's going in and out of frozen rivers, or sleeping in animal carcasses, or what I ate on set. [I was] enduring freezing cold and possible hypothermia constantly," according to Mirror.
The 40-year-old actor noted that filming the bear attack scene was the most difficult one he has ever done in his career. The actor noted that the audience will get to see his instinctive reaction in the movie when he feeds on the bison liver.

"When you see the movie, you'll see my reaction to it, because Alejandro kept it in. It says it all. It was an instinctive reaction," said DiCaprio about feeding on bison liver. "But the end result is going to be one of the most immersive experiences audiences will ever have with what it would be like to
come face-to-face with an animal of that magnitude that is incredibly primal," he noted.
"The Revenant" is slated to be released on December 25 in UK and for Dicaprio's diligent efforts he could win an Oscar for his role in the film.
