Many reviewers found Google's new phablet, Nexus 6P is, as the best Nexus device or the best Android device in years. On its Nexus 6P review, TechCrunch was also impressed.
The new device has a crystal clear and beautiful 5.7-inch AMOLED 2560 X 1440 display, Gorilla Glass 4, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, 3GB RAM as well as a 12.MP shooter with IR laser-assisted autofocus, 30 frames per second that shoots 4k video. A front-facing camera is also present with a decent HD video and 8 megapixels. Variants include a 32, 64 or 128GB memory storage.
For the owners of the Google's new Nexus 6P, here are important things compiled by Phandroid, that they need to do. First, the power adapter should be used whenever possible because it does not support "Quick Charge 2.0" of Qualcomm but its own fast charging. With a 10-minute charge, Google says one can get seven hours of usage. The catch, however, is to include its own wall charger, not the one purchased from anywhere.
To be able to use the phablet, user has to sign into his Google account and start selecting apps. During the initial setup, Google provides Tap & Go, where it copies account information from another NFC-equipped Android device by pressing their backs together. Otherwise, the user can manually type in his personal account info. Once signed in, Google prompts for a phone the user would like to copy apps from.
It is better to make use of Google's security features to keep all the information in the device private. Securing the phone could either be through a password, PIN, pattern or fingerprint. For the imprint fingerprint scanner, one has to go to Settings app, Security, Imprint, choose screen lock, enable or not "Secure startup" (disabling this is recommended), create pattern/password/PIN, decide notification content on lock screen, add fingerprints and press the sensor six times to record.
Using fingerprint to buy from Google Play is more convenient than passwords. To do this, one has to tap Google Play app, slide navigation drawer, Settings and Fingerprint authentication. The first Google Play purchase will ask for a password but after that, it will only require fingerprint.
The user can prioritize other helpful settings and features as well like setting up Smart Lock to keep the phone unlocked when connected with the smartwatch for instance, enable developer mode to speed up animations, enable system UI tuner to add battery life, activate Google Fit, setup Android Pay, check out the new features of Marshmallow and explore the Google Nexus 6P forums where tips, help, support, suggestions, tricks and other information about the phone are found.
