SBS' "The Heirs" served as his breakout series, as he was catapulted into Hallyu stardom through his portrayal of Choi Young Do, a troubled hotel heir, who attempted to win the heart of Park Shin Hye, but was ultimately thwarted by Lee Min Ho.

Miss A's Suzy, the real-life girlfriend of Lee Min Ho, portrays his love interest in "Uncontrollably Fond," heightening the anticipation of the series.

Meanwhile, Kim continues to date his Giordano endorsement co-star and actress, Shin Min Ah.
