After facing several controversies, the K-drama Love Next Door is now caught up in another one. Fans have raised suspicions about its original soundtrack being a rip-off.

The song "What Are We" by Sung Woon Ha was released by Stone Music Entertainment in September. It came under fire after a viral post on Theqoo highlighted eerie similarities with Baek Yerin's 0310 released in 2019.

The viral post on Theqoo drew fans' attention to the striking similarities between the two songs. Many comments pointed out that the two songs sounded alike instrumentally and rhythmically.

"Wow, the riff sounds exactly like Baek Yerin's 0310. It's insane how it's being copied like this," one wrote.

Another said "Isn't this just the same song? Even the song itself, haha. Is this Temu's 0310?".

On hearing about the controversy, Baek Yerin expressed her confusion and disappointment through a series of Instagram Stories.

After sharing a couple of her fans' concerns and queries over whether someone was "allowed" to release a song that sounded that similar to someone else's, she just wrote "Huh" and did not address the matter further.

While a significant number of fans agree that the two songs are similar, some pointed out the differences.

One fan said, "I don't know if we can call this plagiarism... I mean, I listened to both and nothing overlaps, IMO."

Another fan tried to reason, "I listened to both but I don't know the difference or who the composers are... This is hard. I'm a fan of both...."

Neither the producers for the song "What Are We," whyminsu or Okhan Uenver, nor their management company has addressed the allegations.Reports suggest that whyminsu has since made his Instagram account private.
