Comedienne Sarah Silverman recently gushed about her boyfriend Michael Sheen during a television interview. But despite the actress' happy relationship, she admitted that she still deals with depression.
Sarah Silverman talked about her romance with her "Master's of Sex" co-star Michael Sheen in Bravo's "Inside the Actor's Studio" and told that she is happy with her "real-life lover."
"He really classes me up and I just pull him right down to my level unfortunately for him," Sarah Silverman said about her 46-year-old beau. "I could go on and on."
Sarah Silverman and the "Twilight" actor Michael Sheen have been dating since early last year. But amid relationship, she still battles with depression, which she has been experiencing for quite a while, Perez Hilton said.
She told Glamour magazine, "I've lived with depression and learned to control it, or at least to ride the waves as best I can."
The 44-year-old comedienne added that she is taking small doses of Zoloft and has been under therapy. Though these keep her healthy, she said she still felt highs and lows, People said.
"I still have downward spirals, days when I have to drag myself onstage to do stand-up or I'm just tweeting Morrissey lyrics from my bed. But there's one thing I know that I used to not know: It will pass," Sarah Silverman concluded.
The actress is starring in her new movie "I Smile Back," which hit the big screens last week. The movie tells about a wife who deals with anxiety and depression, a role which is far from her usual stints as a comedy actress.
Underneath her role, Sarah Silverman said that she has also come from the same phase.
"To need to become funny usually comes from a way of surviving," she told Times.
