"Body on Me" singer Rita Ora recently talked about having a relationship with a 26-year-old man when she was just 14. The "X Factor" UK judge said that she does not think it was sexual abuse.
The 24-year-old Kosovo-born singer and actress said in an interview that she had relationship with an older male at 14 and that she was sexually active at that time, a report from The Huffington Post said.
Talking to the Amanda de Cadanet's Lifetime show "The Conversations," on her new book "Hot Right Now," the "Poison" singer said, "I was very new to the whole world of a man and a female... I felt like I had a form of respect, I felt like he listened to me. Now I know he listened to me because he obviously wanted to have sex."
Rita Ora said that her boyfriend was a 26-year-old back then and that she did not have any past relationships prior to her romance with him.
However, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" cast member Rita Ora said that she does not want to see it as sexual abuse because she wanted it, Entertainment Online said in their report.
"I don't want to say I suffered, because I wanted it," the British singer said. "I don't want to say that I was forced to do it. I don't want people to think I was abused but I was definitely more mature than I should have been at 14."
The actress also added that she feels great when she knows a man is interested in her.
"I can't begin to tell you how confident I felt when a man was interested in me," she said. "I felt good that men fancied me so I would, you know, wear low tops, I would put red lipstick on, I would, like, make my hair blonder."
