T-Mobile CEO John Legere Enjoins Carriers To Go Against Overages; Verizon Slammed In Twitter

T-Mobile CEO John Legere continues to go against overages. On Monday, he took to a vlog to call out carriers, specifically AT&T and Verizon, for their overage charges.

According to Legere, his recent petition petition to end carrier overages collected more than 330,000 signatures, Android Central reported.

Legere gave his message to the two carriers, pointing that both, along with Sprint pulled $1.5 billion in overage charges in 2014. After which, he celebrated the collection of many signatures by hiring a team to literally write a message to Verizon over their headquarters.

Millions of Verizon Wireless subscribers may love the network but not its policy of charging extra money if one goes over the allotted data limit per month.

Though there is no assurance if a skywrite will be effective to have T-Mobile CEO John Legere's message move the two carriers, but his unique way to trigger the passion to go against overages is indeed spectacular and entertaining.

However, according to BGR, despite T-Mobile's own "un-carrier" issues with network coverage, its campaign to abolish mobile overages is very worthwhile.

Verizon's VP Communications for Consumer and Enterprise Businesses Jeffrey Nelson made witty comebacks.

He said T-Mobile had to use such tactics because smoke signals are more reliable than its network, joking in his tweet: "You probably need to use the Verizon network if you want to send a pic of your artwork," as there is no T-Mobile signal in their headquarters.

TmoNews reported, Nelson took a shot at T-Mobile CEO John Legere and his skywriting plan.

Nelson tweeted, "That time when your wireless company's CEO did a circus act to deflect the real problem: a lousy network that doesn't meet your expectations."

Such tweet received negative reactions from the consumers, some of which stated they are in fact more appreciative of T-Mobile services than Verizon's. Others shared they already switched from Verizon to T-Mobile.

"You call 'circus' act when over 300K of your customers are tired of the overages," Scott Browning tweeted. "@TMobile meets mine expectations just fine.#soreloser."

While user Cherie Bennett commented, "I left a Verizon for TMobile and it has exceeded my expectations. Cheaper and the service is great. Go @JohnLegere!!!!"

"Right and how much are you pocketing from overages? If they take away overages how will the executives buy another private island?" user dank meme said.
