After the grand success of "The Last of Us," game developer Naughty Dog is planning a sequel to the action adventure game involving fight with zombies. With the title of the sequel possibly under development, the so called "The Last Of Us 2," release date is yet to be announced.
The disclosure of the fact about the upcoming sequel of the game was made by the voice actor, Nolan North, in the last Metrocon in Tampa, Florida. The revelation took place during the Q&A session when Nolan was asked by a fan about his tie-up with other projects of Naughty Dog after "Uncharted 4." Nolan who then revealed that it was his last project added later "I know they're doing a 'The Last of Us 2," reported by Vinereport.
With the development in progress, the plot of "The Last of Us 2" can go in variety of directions. It is speculated that new sets and characters might be introduced to the sequel, with a new name Tommy, headlining it. Centre of the plot would probably revolve around the separation of Tommy and the main protagonist, Joel and all the happenings after Ellie goes away.
Another probable plot is Joel getting killed and Ellie continuing and surviving on her own, wandering places and meeting new characters on her way. Both these plots are rumoured possibilities and nothing is confirmed by the game developer yet.
