The upcoming "Deadpool" movie is veering away from the Avengers angle to instead focus on Colossus. According to a report from Tech Times, actor Andre Tricoteux spoke up about playing the said role in the highly anticipated superhero film.

"The Colossus you're going to see in Deadpool is very true to the original character in the comic book," said the stuntman turned actor.

"[Director] Tim Miller had a really clear vision and the Deadpool people [knew] what they wanted. They wanted Colossus to be very traditional to the original story."

Known for his work in "Once Upon a Time," Andre Tricoteux said "Deadpool" will reveal more about Colossus than what has been shown in X-Men movies throughout the years.

"I think people will get a better sense of who he is," he said.

"There's still a lot more to be told about him. Colossus has been around in the comics since the '70s, so I mean, I think you could do your own movie on him."

News about Colossus being one of the main highlights of "Deadpool" came amid anticipation's of the movie's Avengers angle.

Rumors about the "Deadpool" movie possibly having an "Avengers" angle came after the launch of "Avengers #0," which featured the character as part of the Uncanny Avengers.

With the group consisting of both Avengers and X-Men members, fans were eager to know if the "Deadpool" movie will include the comic book's story developments.

However, a report from Comicbook.com detailed how director Tim Miller wants the film adaptation to stick to its original comic book story.

"[It will be the] most comic book-accurate movie ever," the renowned filmmaker said.

"It's an origin story but it's got enough curves and twists to make it fresh and unique, but it's also very true to the comic book."

The big screen adaptation of "Deadpool" will feature actor Ryan Reynolds as lead star.
