Lee Hong Ki is preparing to release his first solo album since he debuted nine years ago.

According to a report published by Xports News, the main vocalist of FTISLAND is scheduled to release his album in mid-November. He will then embark on solo promotions within Korea, before premiering a Japanese-language version of the album.

Lee debuted in 2007 and is renown for his dark, soulful vocals. Xsports News noted the complexity of his voice, which stunned audiences during his April 2015 on MBC's "Masked Singer." Viewers and judges were surprised by his turn as on the program, even though he was eliminated during his first appearance on the competition.

While some listeners were shocked by the quality of his solo performance, fans of the FTISLAND front man were not surprised. He previously showcased his talents through soundtracks including his duet with CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa on "Promise."

K-Drama audiences were introduced to the pop-rock star through his portrayal of Jeremy, the shy vocalist and drummer of the fictitious band, A.N.JELL, in "You're Beautiful." While he did not star in the series, he attracted positive attention from drama fans through his appearance on "The Heirs" soundtrack with the hit, "I'm Saying."

In addition, Lee is renown for his portrayal of Choi Kang Joo, an heir who struggles with a family curse, in "Bride of the Century" and his turn as washed-up rocker Lee Minki in "Modern Farmer."
