Serena Williams chased a thief recently at a restaurant. The world number-1 tennis player shared the experience on the Facebook account. According to her Facebook post, Serena Williams found it strange at first when the man was staring continuously, which made her quite uncomfortable. She ignored the man thinking that he must have been waiting for something else. But, the man came near to the table she was sitting and picked the phone and started leaving. But the tennis Superstar got up and showed her extra-ordinary athletic skills by quickly giving him a chase and catching him. On having the man, she politely asked if the man had accidently picked up the phone. The man confirmed that he did 'grab' the phone by mistake and returned the phone back to Serena. On coming back to the restaurant, the star player received a standing ovation from the people in the packed restaurant to appreciate her braveness.
"Always listen to your superhero inner voice. Always keep your things close! Fight for what's right. Stand for what you believe in! Be a superhero!" Williams wrote. "When I got back into the restaurant I received a standing ovation. I was proud. I just showed every man in there I can stand up to bully's [sic] and other men. It was a win for the ladies!" Serena was at a restaurant to eat some Chinese food when the incident happened. She also shared her picture wearing a super-woman costume.
The current World number 1 had an amazing season. Serena has won the titles of Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon this year. Serena has won five titles in totality this season, claiming around $10 million in prize money. Serena recently turned 34 on September 26, celebrated her birthday. The player is injured currently. Serena Williams holds the record for having the most majors in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
