Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's marriage survived nine years despite the divorce rumors hounding the couple.

And the "Strangerland" actress just dished some marriage advice in a Facebook post where she wrote, "It's good to have a little distance. If you discuss your love too much, it just damages it."

Rosie Elford agreed, "Yes, sometimes to many words just get in the way.Love is very precious & must be protected."

But Sandra Cole wasn't too impressed by the marriage advice.

She wrote, "really - 'discuss?' how about you just say it & act like it - this is about as stupid as "love means never having to say you're sorry." Love means ALWAYS having to say you're sorry. It doesn't mean who's right/wrong; it means I'm sorry you feel unhappy. Let's cuddle."

Perhaps, another secret to the successful marriage is the decision by Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman to live in Nashville, away from the craziness of Hollywood.

"Smaller town, slower pace, which I prefer, and you're actually living a life, rather than just analysing it and talking about living it," she told Dail Mail. "My daughters have Southern accents; it's where my husband's career is, and I love it."

Then another marriage advice is to always have time for each other, even with their busy schedules.

"He's a touring musician - they're used to being on the road," Nicole Kidman said of Keith Urban. "That's what he's always done and he loves it. He's willing to travel and make it work."

As to how many days can they stand being away from each other?

Nicole Kidman responded, "Ten days is way too long. We're seven. And we rarely stretch it to that. The kids don't like the separation."

When they find the time, they always bring the kids to their travels or work commitments overseas.

"The kids love that, too. They have quite a few stamps in their passports," Nicole Kidman shared.
