Bobbi Kristina Brown's death came too soon, just when her family had planned an intervention to wean her away from substance addiction.
Pat Houston spoke to Entertainment Tonight where she confirmed that they were planning an intervention and send her to a rehab facility in Georgia.
"When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it," she said. "But it came too late."
She also said that Bobbi Kristina Brown was too deep in trouble that she could not see that the family wanted to help her, even as their altercations was blown over in the press.
"Where the world saw that she was angry and mad at me, she was texting me all along," she said. "I really tried to show her [that] I'm going to do this to let you know that you don't have to be afraid of anything. I got you.'"
Right after Bobbi Kristina Brown's death, Pat Houston claimed that they revisited the Beverly Hills hotel room where Whitney Houston died, after she was found face-down in a bathtub much like her daughter three years later.
"When we went into the room it was just so peaceful and calm and the room was lit -- it was like it was candle lit. It was just very, very calming," she said. "I went into the bathroom and I placed the flowers at the tub and I just sat there and just was thinking, 'What happened? How did we get here?'"
Nick Gordon was haled to court for the $10 million wrongful death lawsuit filed by by conservator Bedelia C. Hargrove.
After Bobbi Kristina Brown's death, prosecutors are reportedly thinking of amending the lawsuit to include murder.
Nick Gordon's lawyer released a statement to USA Today belying his involvement in Bobbi Kristina Brown's death.
"Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly," it said. "Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
