The trailer of episode 5 shows Britney Spears' visiting Marbella Hotel to perform, which doesn't sit well with Rogelio at all even if Jane is beside herself with the possibility of meeting one of her idols.

Rogelio confronts Britney Spears right insider her trailer and he is dragged outside by her security. Jane, meanwhile, gets a chance to have a "dance-off" with the pop diva on her hit song, "Toxic."

But why is Rogelio so angry with Britney Spears?

Jennie Snyder Urman told Variety during the Television Critics' Association press tour back in August that the two have a long-standing grudge.

"It turns out, she's a real nemesis of Rogelio, but the quality of their interaction is in dispute of what Rogelio thinks and what Britney thinks," she said.

For Jane Rodriguez, "Jane the Virgin" season 2, episode 5 is like life imitating art.

"Britney Spears was my pop star. When I was 16 it was Britney, when I was in college it was Britney, and, to be quite honest, it's still Britney," she told E! News.

"Here we are, five episodes in, she comes on set, she's lovely and wonderful and kind and giving and so funny," she added. "We got to dance together and I cannot wait to see her in Vegas and to see her show. She had already sold me on her talent, but she really sold me on the wonderful human that she is."
