Director JJ Abrams dished some spoilers for "Star Wars Episode 7" as he said that Han Solo, being more experienced this time, would be a more complex character compared to the last time fans saw him.

In an interview with Wired magazine, he said that there's a huge 30-year gap between the last time Harrison Ford made an appearance and the "A Force Awakens."

"It was important that Han Solo be Han Solo but not feel like he's playing a 30-year-old dude," he said. When you're 70, you will have lived a different set of experiences. That has to be apparent in who he is. Harrison was required to bring a level of complexity that a 30-year-old Han wouldn't be required to have."

Despite the pressure, the director said that they have a distinct advantage in making "Star Wars Episode 7" because George Lucas already started laying the brushstrokes.

"We've been able to use what came before in a very organic way, because we didn't have to reboot anything," he explained. "We didn't have to come up with a backstory that would make sense; it's all there."

JJ Abrams continued, "Working on this new movie has been as much about trying to set up elements of what is beyond what you're seeing as it has been about telling a story that will be satisfying in and of itself. But it can't feel like a cop-out-like we're just setting things up and not resolving them," he said.

However, the director didn't spill spoilers for "Star Wars 7," particularly on what's happening with Luke Skywalker who was conspicuously absent from the poster. Various speculations reveal that Mark Hammill will be the main baddie in the film who will try to avenge Darth Vader's death.

Watch out for more "Star Wars Episode 7" spoilers which will be published here ahead of the release date next month.
