Shakira has lived under a spotlight for quite some time now, and the Colombian singer was only too willing to stay in the shadow of boyfriend Gerard Pique in Barcelona, Span on Monday evening.

"The Whenever, Wherever-hit-maker sat in the crowd with the couple's eldest son Milan, two, at the Catalonian Football Federation Awards and her pride was evident as FC Barcelona defender Gerard, 28, was named the Best Catalonian Player of last season," said Daily Mail.

"Shakira, 38, put on a leggy display as she slipped into a suitably sexy little black dress for the annual event which honors the region's best footballing talents," it said.

The British tabloid also commented that Shakira showing up in a mini-dress-displaying her toned thigh and a bit of cleavage-while supporting boyfriend Gerard Pique "was perhaps a racy choice" for the occasion.

Gerard Pique plays center back for FC Barcelona, which won the UEFA Champions League. Shakira and her two sons, Milan and baby Sasha, have been supporting the football player by showing up on his matches anytime they can.

Both Shakira and boyfriend Gerard Pique also make sure to use their fame for a good cause, and they brought along Milan and baby Sasha into doing the Baby Shower campaign for UNICEF to raise money for poor kids in Africa.

In an earlier interview with The Sun, as shared by Mirror, Shakira gushed about boyfriend Gerard Pique.

"I've written many love songs for Gerard. But it's never enough. I feel that he deserves a million love songs written for him."

"He has a totally different mindset to me. He always thinks about how everything he does will impact on his team. That's very different to megalomaniac artists!" she said. "I'm my own boss, I don't have a band and don't have to report to anyone. I was also an only child.

But Shakira said that boyfriend Gerard Pique has taught her how to become a "team player" even if she's used to being independent all her life.
