Coldplay, gave a heart touching performance by playing "Imagine," a song by John Lennon from 1971. The band performed the song in the concert to pay their tribute to the suicide bombings victims in Paris at "Belasco Theatre" in Los Angeles, according to USAtoday.com. Few days ago, the same song was enacted by Davide Martello, a pianist, outside the "Bataclan" concert hall, one of the bombing sites during the Paris attacks.
The rock band also sang few other classics instead of the originally planned event in which the band was going to perform live from their collection, "A Head Full of Dreams," reported Entertainment Weekly.
Chris Martin also cancelled various events due to the suicide bombings in Paris as the band convened to pay tribute to the Paris attacks victims.
"Tonight's live stream for TIDAL & KROQ has been postponed out of respect for the terrible events in Paris," Chris posted this note on the the band's official website before the start of concert. The vocalist said that they will play only old classics for the people who have come a long way only to attend the concert, reported USweekly.com. The singer urged people to observe a moment of silence for the survivors and victims of the massacre.
Around 130 people lost their lives in series of blasts around the city of Paris and more than 350 people injured, reported USAtoday.com.
The rock band frontman announced few days before the Paris attacks on "BBC Radio One" show that the upcoming album will be launched this December. The lead singer also mentioned that this will be the band's last album and the whole group will promote it by going on a world tour. Coldplay has also released the first song from the album named "Adventure of Lifetime."
The song supposedly mirrors the "Guns N Roses" first single, "Sweet Child of Mine."
