Irish rock band, U2 said in a recent interview with "The Belfast Telegraph" they would release their new musical collection "Songs of Experience," according to Ace Show Biz.com.
The band includes Bono as vocalist and the guitarist, David Evans on keyboards and as lead guitarist, Adam Clayton as bass guitarist and Larry Mullen Junior on the drums. David Evans, renowned as "The Edge," also cleared the air regarding the possibility of carrying out the same promotiom stint used to promote their "Songs of Innocence" album.
This music album of the band enraged music lovers all over the world, who were not a follower of the band, when U2 launched the album directly on iTunes platform in September 2014 as a predesigned marketing strategy. Apple Inc. incurred a whooping amount of $100 million for the strategy where the songs were directly uploaded into every person's iTunes account, reported Belfast Telegraph.
The band's frontman, Bono had earlier asked for apology through Facebook posts. He gave an explaination to all the listeners about the band's idea to reach out to people in more numbers and also in what way all members of the band got overwhelmed and got carried away to directly promote their new album by listing it on iTunes.
U2's lead guitarist, The Edge recently said," We haven't figured it out yet, but our intention would be to get it out sometime in the back end of next year. I would not rule out doing something similar with the next record," quoted BelfastTelegraph.
He explained that the band is trying to figure out all the available options for the promotion of their new album. He also commented on the last years controversy which surrounded their album by saying that the marketing strategy then used had its own advantage, as they were able to connect directly with younger crowd of music lovers.
