Amid all the hype and controversy surrounding his new album, "Boy's Don't Cry," Frank Ocean kept his privacy.
Now, the enigmatic "Forrest Gump" singer broke his silence, but fans who are waiting for an update of his new album will be sorely disappointed as Frank Ocean just took to social media to condemn the Paris attacks.
On his Tumblr, he wrote, "LOVE TO PARIS AND ANY INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY WHO'S LOST LOVED ONES TO EVIL ANYWHERE IN THIS WORLD. CHILL W/ THE ANGLES."
In the same vein, Frank Ocean blasted Donald Trump for suggesting that the reason for the attacks was because of France's strict gun control program.
"ON THE REAL THOUGH DONALD TRUMP. HOW IS IT 'INTERESTING' THAT THESE SHOOTINGS HAPPENED IN A COUNTRY THAT'S TOUGH ON GUNS? TELL US DON? BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE THAT VACUOUS OBSERVATION WAS ABOUT GIVING YOUR NRA-LOVING CONSTITUENCY A HANDJOB AND SPINNING A TRAGEDY FOR POLITICAL GAIN AND I'M THINKING MAYBE USING A SITUATION WHERE DOZENS OF INNOCENTS HAVE JUST BEEN MURDERED IN THE STREETS ISN'T THE BEST TIME. NO?"
But while he's certainly entitled to voice out his frustration, what fans would have wanted was for Frank Ocean to give updates on his new album, "Boys Don't Cry."
The new album has attracted a lot of attention lately over the comments made by rapper Wale who claimed that the only reason Frank Ocean got all the accolades was because of his sexual orientation.
In an interview with Power 105.1 FM, as shared by The Guardian, the rapper suggested that Frank Ocean wouldn't have been getting all the acclaim if he wasn't gay.
"If a dude was gay, man, he'd get a Grammy," he said. "They're gonna make fun of them. They're gonna throw their Twitter jokes ... but in the next three years there's probably gonna be a dude who's not even gay that's just like 'Man, this is my last resort' ... But nah, I would sign a gay rapper if he was dope. 'Go ahead man, go do that thing, go do them Versace fashion shows."
Frank Ocean's new album, "Boy's Don't Cry," was reportedly set to be released in July this year.
