Khloe Kardashian admitted that James Harden influenced her divorce. According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star also explained their situation with estranged husband Lamar Odom, who is recovering from a near-fatal drug overdose.
During an interview for 102.7 KIIS FM's radio show, "On Air With Ryan Seacrest," Khloe Kardashian said she wanted to settle her divorce out of love and respect for her Houston Rockets beau.
"When I met James, I just felt like I needed to finish with the divorce," she confessed. "So I expedited it."
However, the relationship of Khloe Kardashian and James Harden was put to the test when Lamar Odom nearly died from a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel.
The former Los Angeles Lakers player's death scare and severe medical conditions prompted his wife to put the divorce on hold. Her decision is supposedly something that James Harden understands.
"I just thought it was really insensitive to [expedite the divorce]," Khloe Kardashian explained.
"I get it, I get why it's confusing. I understand all of that... [but] James has been great. He's been very supportive with everything."
Us Weekly also reported about the said interview, where Khloe Kardashian also admitted that she and James Harden sometimes feel weird about their setup.
"There's of course times where I'm sure he was really uncomfortable about some of the things," she said. "But I'm a very honest person and I have nothing to hide and I was very open with how I feel like I had to handle everything with Lamar."
"I really, really appreciate how supportive James has been, and it wasn't just another layer of stress on me," she added.
According to a related report from Hollywood Life, James Harden's performance during his games has also gotten affected by Khloe Kardashian's absence.
"James knows Khloe has to be by Lamar's bedside," an insider said.
"He doesn't want to be selfish, but he wants her to leave his bedside and sit courtside at his games. Khloe's his biggest cheerleader and he needs her now big time because his game is off."
"He's been playing miserable ball during the start of this season and the fans, even the ones at home, are letting him have it and it's not pretty," the insider detailed.
