Actress Angelina Jolie has revealed that her two eldest sons, Maddox and Pax, have joined her in the making of her next directorial venture "First They Killed My Father".

"First They Killed My Father" is adapted from a memoir about by Loung Ung about the 1970s genocide in Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge. The movie, which is directed and co-written by Jolie Pitt, is being filmed in Cambodia, where Jolie's oldest son Maddox originally hails from.

The 14-year- old Maddox is helping with the research work, while 11-year-old Pax is clicking stills, reported People magazine.

"Pax is doing a lot of the stills. The whole movie is from a child's point of view," the actress said.

Maddox has previously worked as a production assistant on Jolie's recent film, "By The Sea", which also featured Brad Pitt.

The actress said that Maddox had to be kept away from the film's set whenever the two were filming uncomfortable scenes.

"Every time we had a fight scene or sexual scene he obviously wouldn't be near us. So, he had to work in the parking lot," Jolie said.

"But he read the scenes of the day - I didn't even know! One day he came up to me and said, 'Really interesting script, Mom'."

Apart from Pax and Maddox, Angelina and Brad are parents to four other children including Zahara who is 10-year-old, Shiloh who is 9-year-old and twins Knox and Vivienne who are 7-year-old.

In related news, Angelina Jolie recently said that she loves being in menopause. The actress went into menopause immediately following surgery in March to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes.

"I actually love being in menopause," she told The Daily Telegraph.

"I haven't had a terrible reaction to it, so I'm very fortunate. I feel older, and I feel settled being older."

"I feel happy that I've grown up" and "I don't want to be young again," she added.
