NCIS season 13

Fans are buzzing about Ziva David and DiNozzo's reunion after "NCIS" season 13 director Dennis Smith shared a photo on his Instagram showing Cote de Pablo getting cozy with Michael Weatherly.

The director then captioned the image, "Ok so how much fun did I have last night?"

The photo immediately triggered a slew of speculations about Cote de Pablo's possible return to "NCIS" season 13 as Michael Weatherly's love interest.

In September, showrunner Gary Glasberg told The Hollywood Reporter that somewhere in the season, they would address DiNozzo's issues with relationships.

"Down the road, we'll continue to delve into the love life of Tony DiNozzo, and there might be some surprises for people a little further down the road into the season on that one, especially for our diehard fans," he said.

Is that a hint that Ziva David will return sometime in "NCIS" season 13?

"I don't know! We'll have to see what unfolds," the producer said. "I'm not going to say a word - I'm just going to say we'll definitely be getting into DiNozzo's love life."

Cote de Pablo has repeatedly said that she's open to coming back because the storyline of her exit didn't really provide closure to Ziva David and DiNozzo.

Whether or not Ziva David is returning to "NCIS" season 13 is up in the air. Cote de Pablo, however, has a new movie coming out called "The 33."

The synopsis for "The 33" reads, "When the San José copper and gold mine in Chile collapsed in 2010, 33 miners were trapped more than 200 storeys underground."

It continued, "Temperatures in the mine reached 100 degrees Fahrenheit beneath a boulder twice the size of the Empire State building as they were trapped there for 69 days. The ordeal represented the longest underground survival in history."

Watch out for more "NCIS" season 13 news and rumors, especially regarding Cote de Pablo's possible return to the series.
