The KDramaStars End-Of-The-Year Poll has only been running for a day but plenty of votes have been cast. And the results are interesting.
For a start, the leading contender in the Best Drama category is "The Scholar Who Walks The Night," starring Lee Jun Ki, Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Yu Bi and Kim So Eun. The historical vampire saga centers on a scholarly vampire and his love affair with an impoverished young women disguised as a male bookseller. So far, the drama has an impressive 35.18 percent of the vote.
Next in line is the drama "Producer," which took viewers into the chaotic lives of variety show producers. The drama starred Kim Soo Hyun, IU, Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Tae Hyun. Kim Soo Hyun was a shy rookie producer. That drama has so far scored 21.39 percent of the vote.
In third place is the comedy "She Was Pretty," starring Hwang Jung Eum, Park Seo Joon and Choi Si Won. The popular comedy pulled in 12.63 percent of the vote. That was followed by another drama starring Hwang Jung Eum. "Kill Me, Heal Me," which also stars Ji Sung, polled 10.12 percent. "Yong Pal," starring Kim Tae Hee and Joo Won is in fifth place.
Even though "The Scholar Who Walks The Night" is leading best drama, Lee Jun Ki was only in fifth place when it came to best actor. Currently first place is being held by Kim Soo Hyun with a major 44.05 percent of the vote. Ji Sung follows at 16.78, Choi Si Won is third at 8.75 percent and his "She Was pretty" co-star Park Seo Joon landed in fifth place.
Hwang Jung Eum was in first place in the Best Actress category, but she had something of an edge starring in two dramas this year. She won 39.88 percent of the vote for her roles in "Kill Me, Heal Me" and "She Was Pretty." Park Bo Young claimed second place with 13.86 percent of the vote, while Gong Hyo Jin had 9.5 percent. Kim Tae Hee was close winning 7.94 percent for her role in "Yong Pal," while Ha Ji Won landed in fifth place for her work in "The Time I Didn't Love You, 7000 Days."
And the best couple?
Choi Si Won may have earned more points than his co-star Park Seo Joon in the male actor category. But when it came to coupledom, the endearing second lead took second place. Park Seo Joon and Hwang Jung Eum were in first place with 27.84 percent of the vote, followed by Choi Si Won and Hwang Jung Eum at 21.48 percent. Second lead syndrome is real. So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah, the stars of "Hello Venus," earned 12.2 percent Park Yoo Chun and Shin Se Kyung had 8.59 percent of the vote for "Girl Who Sees Smells," while Park Hyung Sik and Lim Ji Yeon had fifth place for their sweet romance in "High Society."
What do you think about these results? Do they reflect your favorites? If not, be sure to vote. If they do, vote anyway since tomorrow's results could be different.
