"Fashion Police" host Melissa Rivers is happy with the show's recent comeback. According to a report from People, the executive producer of E!'s hit fashion critique show also thinks that the new season is more creative.

"I think we really started to find our footing those last few episodes that I hosted," she said.

"So now that we have our feet underneath us, I think we can start to explore creatively a little bit more."

The only daughter of former "Fashion Police" host Joan Rivers also believes that her late iconic mother would be happy with how the show is doing now, especially because of the latest trends that they have been covering.

"Oh, she'd be loving the very romantic, sort of Edwardian trend that has come in," Melissa Rivers said. "She would be loving that!"

Prior to the show's current steady run, "Fashion Police" initially struggled to keep it entertaining after the death of Joan Rivers. The network then tapped comedienne Kathy Griffin to fill the vacated slot of the comedy icon.

However, the redhead comic eventually left following the show's mediocre reviews and a racism controversy of "Fashion Police" host Giuliana Rancic.

New York Daily News reported that Melissa Rivers got disappointed at her mother's supposed protégé for unexpectedly quitting "Fashion Police." Aside from resigning after less than 10 episodes, Kathy Griffin also made negative statements insinuating how she has always doubted taking on the show.

Melissa Rivers then called out the TV host saying, "My biggest complaint was the feeling that she kind of s--- all over my mother's legacy in her statement on leaving," she said about Kathy Griffin.

"I understand what you're doing. You're trying to save yourself, but don't crap all over my mother to do it."

"'Fashion Police' was this little jewel, and it was the last piece I had of my mother and I working together," she added.
