"Hart of Dixie" star Rachel Bilson is joining the list of celebrities who are not ashamed to share their experiences regarding breastfeeding their kids.

Four days ago, she posted on Instagram a photo showing the "Hart of Dixie" star holding a breast pump while beaming to the camera. She wrote, "Back to work..."

Most of her followers who commented thanked Rachel Bilson for promoting breastfeeding on her page.

One fan wrote, "I love that you're sharing this. Helps normalize breastfeeding."

Another commented, "LOVE thank you for being such a beautiful & positive role model for Breastfeeding Mummas ~ We would love to help capture these precious memories for you #breastmilkjewellery #keepsake #love."

"Thank you for helping to normalize breastfeeding!" said another.

Although the American Academy of Pediatrics has been advocating exclusive breastfeeding for infants until six months old, the stigma is still very much present in society as some people take offense on the act of the mother breastfeeding her baby in public.

E! News noted that Rachel Bilson has joined a long list of celebrities who posted on Instagram their decision to breastfeed their kids.

The list "include Alyssa Milano, who gave birth to her second child last year has long been an advocate of normalizing public nursing, former Victoria's Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes, who also welcomed her second child last year, Kristin Cavallari, who recently gave birth to her third child and first daughter and Kourtney Kardashian, whose third child Reign will celebrate his first birthday this month."

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen welcomed Briar Rose on Oct. 19, 2014, although the "Hart of Dixie" star has yet to debut her daughter's face on social media.

"Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson welcome their daughter Briar Rose Christensen born on October 29, 2014," a statement sent to US Weekly said. "Both mother and baby are healthy and doing well. They are asking for privacy and subscribe to the No Kids Policy."
