On the 9th episode of tvN Friday/Saturday drama "Reply 1988" broadcast on Dec. 4th (script Lee Woo Jung, director Shin Won Ho), Choi Moo Sung (played by Choi Moo Sung), the single parent of Choi Taek (played by Park Bo Gum)'s story was featured that he had incurred debt because of the monstrous acts of the mother-in-law of Kim Sung Young (played by Kim Sun Young). Kim Sun Young and Choi Moo Sung were from the same town. With that, Moo Sung was at risk of being evicted from his own house.
On this day, it was revealed that Moo Sung and Sun Young were from the same hometown. As Sun Young saw that Moo Sung had collapsed because of a brain hemorrhage and took care of him like her own birth brother. Sun Young had a tough time getting her hands on $10,000 and therefore could not ask Moo Sung and his son to borrow money. Finding this out later, Moo Sung asked Sun Young why she didn't ask him. It was shown that these two people had been in a relationship for a long time.
Meanwhile, "Reply 1988" is the third of the reply series - "Reply 1997" and "Reply 1994." This is a comic family drama about five families who live in the same alley in 1988 in Seoul. The drama features Sung Dong Il, Lee Il Hwa, Ra Miran, Girls' Day Hye Ri, Ko Kyung Pyo, and Park Bo Gum.
