Actress Kim Hieora is set to make her artistic comeback in the upcoming musical "Frida," following her hiatus due to allegations of school bullying.

Frida Kahlo's character, Kim, was announced as one of the three actresses to play the role of legendary Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in the production that will open in June in Seoul.
This will be Kim Hieora's first public appearance since she temporarily took a hiatus from her career in 2023 after she was met with criticism that caused her to suspend her activities.
The dispute was settled amicably, and by April 2024, she was back on the stage.

The stage musical "Frida" – never performed in Mexico – portrays the last years of Kahlo, revealing her mustering of the artist's spirit and resilience despite personal struggles.
Kim So-hyang and Kim Ji-woo will also partner to play the female lead.
Cast Members also include Jeon Su-mi, Jang Eun-ah, and Aiki, who will all play Refleha, a character based on one of Kahlo's partners, Diego Rivera, and a doppelganger.
Reactions to Kim Hieora's return have been mixed.

Her comeback is somewhat controversial, and fans are split over her return because of the old allegations.
Still, "Frida" is expected to be a major summer production, thanks to its creative ambition and the casting of Kim.
"Frida" is in theaters from June 17 to September 7 at the NOL Uniplex Theater 1 in Seoul.
