Brad Pitt gave a rare glimpse about his life as a husband to Angelina Jolie and father to their six kids.
In an intimate interview for the Telegraph, Brad Pitt said that his family means everything to him, but one thing that surprised him is how he and wife, Angelina Jolie, have taken to being parents like fish to water.
"Everyone talks about the joy of having kids - blah, blah, blah. But I never knew how much I could love something until I looked in the faces of my children," he said, adding that at home, there's "a lot of love, a lot of fighting, a lot of refereeing; a lot of teeth-brushing and spilling... Chaos, total chaos. But so much fun."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six kids together, Maddox, 14; Pax, 11; Zahara, 10; Shiloh, nine;
and seven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
The couple has been hounded by divorce rumors, particularly with their new film, "By The Sea," which tackles a rocky relationship between a husband and wife and how they are trying to save their marriage.
Brad Pitt recounted that he's always wanted a big family, since he grew up with a friend who had a big family of his own.
"It was absolute mayhem on the weekends, and so much fun. His mom would be making breakfast for everyone, throwing eggs and pancakes around, and I thought, that's the way I want to do it," he said.
In fact, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie wanted a dozen kids, "but we crapped out after six."
As for parenting style with the kids, Brad Pitt is the first to admit that his girls have him wrapped around their fingers, while Angelina Jolie is the "matador."
"Girls do no wrong so I don't have to be," he said. "I feel like my job is to show 'em around, help them find what they want to do with their life, put as many things in front of them, and pull them back when they get out of line, so they know who they are."
