American actress and currently a correspondent of Fox News Channel, Stacey Dash, have been suspended along with Fox News analyst, Ralph Peters for using profanity on air.
On Sunday, Dash and Peters gave disrespectful remarks regarding President Barack Obama's speech on terrorism from the Oval Office. Dash stated that President Obama "doesn't give a sh*t" and didn't care about terrorism by Islamic State. Whereas, earlier, Peters, who is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, had called the president "a total p*ssy", for which he was asked by an anchor of the Fox Business Network to not to use improper language.
Bill Shine, the Fox Senior Executive Vice President of Programming, gave away the news of the suspension of the two contributors. "Earlier today, FOX contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air," said Shine.
"FOX Business Network and FOX News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks," he added, reported The Blaze.
Both Dash and Peters are at ease and do not seem to be remorseful of what they said. In their response, Peters tweeted that he would be back soon while Dash posted "Consequences. Some of us have to pay them. Gladly," according to Rolling out.
Dash initially supported and voted for Obama in the 2008 US Presidential Election, but later changed her association from Democrat to Republican in 2012. She was criticized by few Twitter users for being racist when she endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on her page.
Dash had been in news for her controversial statements and remarks since a long time and her employer was fed up of her questionable behavior. She has been openly expressing her political views since 2012 and has criticized famous hip hop singers Beyoncé and Jay-Z's trip to Cuba in the past. It was high time for the channel to take action against her.
