Ciara bonded with her baby, Future Wilburn Zahir, as seen in a heartwarming video that she shared on her Instagram page.
A series of videos posted by the R&B singer on Thursday showed her one-year-old son reading a children's animal book.
The "I Bet" singer's voice could be heard on the background as she asked her little boy to name each animal.
Ciara captioned her baby Future's reading videos with the hashtags "proud mommy" and "the moments I live for."
In Ciara's recent feature by CBS News, the Grammy-winning singer shared how having a son has changed her life.
"For me, being a mom it makes you selfless and makes you realize there's so much out there in the world," she said.
"You think you have problems, but it's like, 'Really?' But don't sweat the small stuff."
Ciara said her baby Future has also helped her to not be overly controlling.
"I'm such a perfectionist," she confessed.
"I can be like, 'This has to be like this. And this, and this and this.' But then you realize a lot of things that you thought mattered, they really don't matter."
"Like is my child breathing? Yes. Is my child happy? Yes. Do we have a roof off of our heads? Yes ... It's totally changed my life I think for the better," she shared.
Even though Ciara did not end up with her son's father, "Rich $ex" rapper Future, the songstress said that being a mother has made her wiser.
"It really put things in a much clearer perspective," she said.
"When it comes to making decisions, I can make my decisions with clarity now and know that I have to think them all the way through. Having my son has changed my whole thought process in a necessary way."
"It also makes you grow up, too. There's so many beautiful things that have come from my relationship with my son," Ciara added.
