Harrison Ford hurled an astute response to Donald Trump after the Republican presidential hopeful praised the actor for his role as US president on the film "Air Force One."

In an interview with the New York Times earlier this month, Republican presidential front-runner, Donald Trump, said he liked movies featuring heroic president characters. He then expressed his admiration towards Harrison Ford for his role as US president in the 1997 movie "Air Force One," a report by Entertainment Weekly said.

The real-estate mogul is said to admire Harrison Ford's presidential character for firmly standing up against terrorists, a quality Trump believes what the next president of the country should possess.

"My favorite was Harrison Ford on the plane," Donald Trump said of "Air Force One" in the interview, per the Entertainment Weekly article. "I love Harrison Ford - and not just because he rents my properties. He stood up for America."

Even so, it appears that the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star does not have mutual admiration for Donald Trump.

At the time of Donald Trump's interview with Times, Harrison Ford, who reportedly rented an apartment in one of the mogul's New York properties, initially declined to comment regarding the said statement.

However, during a recent Australian press tour for the new "Star Wars" film, Harrison Ford gave a brief message for Donald Trump.

Speaking to Studio 10's Angela Bishop, "lifelong Democrat" Harrison Ford responded, "Donald, it was a movie. It's not like this in real life. But how would you know?"

In an interview with Fusion's Jorge Ramos, Harrison Ford opened up about renting one of Trump's NYC properties more than a decade ago.

"I really didn't think it was such a good apartment. I didn't think it was great architecture," Ford told Ramos.

"The Donald Trump that owned that building is not the same Donald Trump that I'm seeing now," he added.

During the interview with Fusion, Ford also talked about how he identifies with his character, Han Solo, in the "Star Wars" franchise after creator George Lucas described Han as a "loner" who discovers the significance of being a part of a group.
