Ever since Nina Dobrev's exit from "The Vampire Diaries," she's been trying to land TV and movie gigs left and right. Ian Somerhalder's ex will be seen in the campy comedy, "The Final Girls," which is a parody on horror movies. She's also included in the cast of "Arrivals" with Maisie Williams, which is due in 2016.

The synopsis for "Arrivals" reads, "An American hypochondriac who is working as a baggage handler at the Cape Town airport is forced to confront his fears when a British teenager with a terminal illness enlists him to help her carry out her eccentric bucket list."

There were also reports that Nina Dobrev was also shortlisted for "The Notebook" TV series, which will be produced by Nicholas Sparks, although there's no confirmation from the producer about this particular rumor.

Meanwhile, CDL claimed that the movie career for Nina Dobrev didn't exactly pan out after she left "The Vampire Diaries" and Ian Somerhalder's ex is allegedly trying to land a spot for a hit series, "The Walking Dead."

The article was based on the photo of Nina Dobrev cozying up to Norman Reedus at the American Music Awards.

"It's not a far stretch to go from 'The Vampire Diaries' to 'The Walking Dead' - both shows have a similar fan base, and you know are based on things that would never, ever actually happen in real life," it said.

The article continued, "If the former 'The Vampire Diaries' actress hasn't joined the cast of 'The Walking Dead' quite yet - there is no doubt in anyone's minds that she would jump at the opportunity considering the lack of job offers in her life."

There's one thing that Nina Dobrev won't do, however, and that is go back to "The Vampire Diaries," which has been reeling in the ratings game after the exit of Elena Gilbert. In fact, the show has been rumored to be cancelled after its timeslot was transferred for Friday nights.
