Zooey Deschanel took a break from "New Girl" to spend time with daughter, baby Elsie, while she's nursing.
But the 35-year-old actress is taking the much needed break to also bond with husband, Jacob Pechenik, as they took their daughter out on a stroll in Los Angeles over the weekend.
"The first-time parents were in great spirits as they gently pushed their little five-month-old princess in her pram," Daily Mail said. "The three-time Golden Globe nominee - who turns 36 next month - rocked her signature black pantyhose with matching pleated shorts and preppy cardigan."
Elsie Otter was born in July this year.
Speaking to the "Today" show, per Daily Mail, Zooey Deschanel revealed the meaning behind the unique baby name, Elsie Otter.
"We just really loved the name Elsie and we both love otters," she said. "They are very sweet and they are also smart. They use tools, they keep their favorite tools. They hold hands while they sleep."
"There are so many amazing things about otters. Who doesn't love otters?"
But what if Zooey Deschanel's baby doesn't love otters?
"She better love otters," the "New Girl" star laughed. "We don't know yet because she's only a few months old. But she's going to."
The recent picture of Zooey Deschanel walking her daughter, baby Elsie, showed that the "New Girl" star is almost back to her pre-baby weight.
But it appears that she's losing the baby weight through nursing as Zooey Deschanel doesn't really like to subject her body to a lot of hard work or new diet fads in order to get that Hollywood body.
"I think a lot of people think that they need to conform to some weird Hollywood idea of ... and actually, I don't think that the pressure is external," Zooey Deschanel said Vulture. "I think a lot of actresses feel this internal pressure to be unrealistic."
