Donning a new haircut, pop superstar Adele took to the center stage of X Factor UK finale this weekend to deliver an emotional performance of her latest smash hit single "Hello."
According to a report by E! Online, Adele unexpectedly showed off a dramatic new haircut as she belted out her new record-breaking single "Hello" in the season finale of UK's X Factor.
Sporting a shorter haircut with less wavy curls, Adele performed to a cheering crowd on the Wembly Stadium in London. It was the singer's first ever appearance on the British show since the release of "Hello." It was aired on Dec. 13, Sunday.
Before dropping the new single last month, it can be recalled that Adele previously teased the release of "Hello" on X Factor UK with a 30-second commercial in the reality show. She dropped the song and its music video few days after. Now, the Grammy-winner surprised fans with the new bob.
Per a report by People Magazine, Adele's new shorter haircut has been "well received on social media" with fans taking to Twitter to praise her now short bob haircut.
"Adele's new hair is flawless," said one fan. Another expressed her love for the new haircut, while another wondered how many people will follow suit saying, "I wonder how many people will cut their hair short now in hope they'll look like Adele."
In a brief interview following Adele's stellar performance on the reality show, the singer shared her excitement to perform "Hello" on X Factor UK.
"I've honestly been waiting like half my life to do this," Adele told the show's host. "I'm so excited to be here. Thanks for having me here."
However, she admitted that singing in front of the panel of judges was a bit nerve wracking. "I could never do that again, I don't think," she said of being too close to the judges while performing. "I couldn't even look them in the eye," she admitted with a laugh.
Later in the show, British rock band Coldplay also performed and sang "Adventure of a Lifetime." One Direction, who has announced to take an indefinite hiatus in music, also performed at the show and serenade the audience with their songs "Infinity" and "History."
