Han Ji Hye has been responsible for MBC's weekend dramas since last year.
Her previous drama was "May Queen" and after only a brief break, she started filming "I Summon You, Gold." Both dramas required long commitment of six months, but proved to be successful with two digit national viewing rate. They were the evidence that Han Ji Hye was indeed an actress worthy of the name.
Han Ji Hye played Mong Hee, an optimistic girl of a poor background, and Yuna, a tough girl married to the son of a conglomerate family. She had to film twice the lines and scenes of her colleagues' because she had two characters to portray.
Han Ji Hye said, "By the end of the drama, the number of scenes where the two characters overlap peaked. I was so stressful, I complained to staff and director and cried so much." She added, "I ended up spending more time on memorizing the script, trying to get a deeper feel for it, and analyzing the two characters thoroughly in my head."
